This past Monday I tried out the LA Market for lunch at the new Marriott in downtown. I sat at the bar as usual and as it was a little late for the lunch rush there was only two other patrons and I.
Received the menu , pretty limited choices of salads, pizza etc. Decided on Meat loaf and mashed potatoes with a diet coke.
5 minutes later no diet coke, he also forgot to serve the other customers beverages as well, finally another waiter behind the bar had pity on us and served us. Three plates, Three entrees, much confusion, the waiter couldn’t remember what went where and still forgot everyones beverage refill orders.
Time to eat, it was actually tasty and I was happy with my choice.
My guess is the waiter was new at the restaurant but most likely new at the profession as well, lol. Check was comparable to The Yard House at $35.00 with the diet coke.
Pros: Good food and Ambiance.
Cons: No parking validation, untrained staff.
