I recently moved to a new LOFT and have been spending a lot of time furniture shopping. LA is a great place for that with tons of options. Robertson and Beverly Blvd have great stores, but are on the expensive side. LA Brea also have some good options a bit more affordable. The stores below is where I got most of my stuff and have options that will look good in any LOFT without breaking the bank. The picture is from my home office.

LOFT TOUR

24 Mar 2014 · by ChrisSampaio

LA LOFTS TOUR

This is your chance to visit some of the most INCREDIBLE lofts in Downtown Los Angeles.  The owners of these incredible lofts have generously agreed to open their homes to the public for the afternoon of Sunday, April 13 between 1 and 6.  These lofts are not for sale, they are people’s homes.

On April 13 you will be given a map of the showing the locations of the lofts and participating restaurants.  You will spend the afternoon visiting the incredible lofts, stopping for a drink or a bite to eat in one of the area’s great restaurants and generally enjoying downtown Los Angeles.

This is a self-guided walking (or bike) tour of the Financial and Fashion District, Historic Core, and South Park bounded by 3rd St. and 12th St., Figueroa and Main.

The event will raise money for the good works that the Downtown LA Rotary Club does here in LA and around the world.  Some of the things that the Rotary club is supporting now are:

Mama Hill’s Help, South Central LA.  Providing after school coaching and mentoring to keep at risk teen agers in school and out of gangs.

Water Project in Migori Kenya.  Providing clean water to over 1500 students in four schools and a clinic.  This will help keep girls in school and reduce waterborne diseases.

Sending an at-risk teenager from South Central LA  to a Rotary Leadership training weekend.

Providing books to the Equitas Charter Academy school in Pico Union.

Prior to being open to the public, the lofts will be judged by a panel of architects from AC Martin Architects, Environetics and Schlemmer Algaze Architects.

So come on out.  Enjoy the day and look inside some INCREDIBLE LA LOFTS.
